We're looking for a Mid Level Software Engineer to join our team to help design, architect, and build some of the foundational systems to support users learning with Immerse.
In this role you will:
- Design and implement scalable systems and infrastructures
- Manage individual project priorities, deadlines and deliverables
- Collaborate with our frontend, and VR teams to build new cross platform features to support our Members
- Focus on overall product quality and user experience
- Maintain significant portions of our backend services, ensuring they are operationally sound
- Organize documenting and maintenance of software functionality
We are looking for some with:
- 5+ years experience writing production distributed systems or cloud services
- Proficient in RESTful Services, Python/Go/Java (at least one), RDBMS, NoSql
- Proficient with Experience with Cloud Technologies like AWS and GCP
- Proven track record participating in software projects from inception to successful release
- At least 1 year successful experience in a startup or smaller, entrepreneurial, fast-growth organization
- Comfortable working in fast-moving, ambiguous development environments
- A constant desire to learn, improve, and help others improve
Bonus points if you also have:
- Experience working on a live online service
- Experience with virtual reality
Remote Work Details:
- Must be available for collaboration between 9AM-3PM PST
- Must have access to a distraction free, quiet space during work hours
- Must be available to attend one all team annual retreat (pending pandemic guidelines)
